Connecting through music and inspiring hearts

At Hertz2Hearts, we believe music has the extraordinary ability to connect people, awaken memories, lift spirits and create moments of genuine joy.

Our vision

To become Western Australia's leading provider of music-based healthy ageing programs.

Our founder

Where music meets care

Hertz2Hearts was founded by a Registered Nurse and musician with a diverse background in nursing, complemented by a neuroscience informed understanding of the brain, behaviour, emotion, memory and human connection.

Our founder's broader study and experience in therapeutic approaches, including psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, has further developed an appreciation of the complex relationship between the mind, brain, emotions and behaviour. This unique combination of healthcare knowledge and musical experience shapes the way we approach our work.

We understand that every person is more than their diagnosis, age or level of ability. We recognise the importance of dignity, person centred care, emotional wellbeing, meaningful engagement and creating environments where people feel safe, respected and included.

Music with purpose

We believe music is more than entertainment.

A melody can bring comfort. A familiar song can unlock a treasured memory. Singing together can create connection. Rhythm can encourage movement and participation.

Sometimes, simply hearing a favourite song can bring a smile to someone's face. Our approach is informed by an understanding of the ways music can interact with memory, emotion, attention, communication and social connection.

Our Music Facilitators create warm, interactive and inclusive experiences that encourage residents to participate in ways that feel right for them.

Sessions may include live music, singing, familiar songs, rhythm, movement, reminiscence and interactive activities — creating opportunities for social connection, self-expression and enjoyment.

Whether someone wants to sing along, tap their feet, share a memory or simply listen, there is always a place for everyone.

The heart behind the name

From hertz, to hearts

The name Hertz2Hearts reflects what we believe music can do: transform sound and frequency into something deeply human.

Our goal is not simply to fill an hour with music. It is to create experiences that residents look forward to — experiences that encourage connection, evoke memories, inspire participation and bring moments of joy into everyday life.

Because sometimes a song is more than a song. It can be a memory. It can be a connection. It can be a smile. It can be a moment of belonging.

And that's what we're here to create.
